Celebrating its 49th year, Knott's Scary Farm (or Halloween Haunt as us nerds call it) has settled upon the town of Calico and Knott's Berry Farm once again. This year, Scary Farm boasts 9 haunted attractions, 5 scare zones, 3 shows, and plenty of other fun experiences that very from scary too spooky. While we are a far scream away from its humble beginnings in 1973 where Seymour The Master of the Macabre was the headlining act, there is something intrinsically attached to Scary Farm that has never changed. That's its deep rooted belief in creating a wonderfully scary and original product for the masses to love during the halloween season.

Halloween in Southern California: there’s nothing quite like it: Grabbing a Pumpkin spice latte on a crisp 95-degree morning and wearing your best scarf… for a grand total of 30 minutes before you realize you may be suffering from heat stroke. All joking aside; Fall in southern California doesn’t feel like much except… more summer. So how do we know it’s time to put away our beach balls and pull out our pumpkin carving kits? That’s an easy one: Halloween Horror Nights! What a better way to ring in the spooky season than with a trip to Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood!!!! We had the immense pleasure of making our way out to enjoy this year’s event this past weekend, and my-oh-my was this year one for the books! Once upon a time in a land not so far away, there was a gathering of many many people who all had one thing in common. They were all united by their love and enthusiasm for all things spooky! Every year (barring those marred by plague) hoards of faithful followers make a pilgrimage to the realm of the Long Beach Convention Center. Here they delight in getting scared in the many houses infested with ghouls and goblins and make sure to visit all the talented tradesmen (and women) who travel from far and wide to sell their wares.   What a wonderful fairy tale! Oh, wait…this is no tall tale! This may seem too good to be real… but we are, in fact, speaking of Southern California’s premiere Halloween and Horror Convention: Midsummer Scream! The Worlds LARGEST Halloween and Horror Convention.

Whether you want to visit Soak City (write up coming soon), experiencing Ghost Town Alive, or just visiting at night for the music and food; there is something for everyone. Maybe the only thing missing is fireworks at the end of the night on the weekends! But we can hold off on those till future Summer Nights down the road.

These two drastically different events are perfectly coupled as a day and night (all day) extravaganza at Knott's Berry Farm. During the day, you can run around Ghost Town living out your ideal western life and at night you can dance the night away with great food and music.

Throughout the pandemic, Knott's Berry Farm excelled in bringing guests wonderful food tasting events within a safe environment. Giving everyone a taste of normalcy during a time that was anything but normal. In place of the 2021 Boysenberry Festival season, Knott's Berry Farm put on A Taste of Boysenberry Festival. Clearly giving everyone "a taste" of what they've come to know and love in the months of March and April. But in 2022, Knott's Berry Farm is bringing back Boysenberry Festival bigger and better than ever. And trust us when we say that it was worth the wait!
