The 2021 Haunt season is fast approaching and with each passing week, we are receiving some incredibly exciting news. Obviously, Knott’s Berry Farm is keeping us on the edge of our seats with their weekly announcements and the most recent one was worth the wait. After recently dropping a video showing the returning scare zones at Scary Farm, the end of the video clearly teased something to come in the form of a scare zone and we’ve finally gotten our answer.
Knott’s Scary Farm announced their newest scare zone, The Gore-ing 20’s! Which will be placed between Pony Express and the Bear-y Tales attraction.

In this fog-filled Memory Lane, gangsters run illicit hooch for the ghostly revelers as the otherworldly musicians play the music of the damned. Tell the Bouncer the secret password, and you’ll have the time of your life…for as long as it lasts
This is the first new scare zone to be added to Scary Farm’s lineup since Forsaken Lake was announced in 2018. We’re personally really excited to see scare zones expanded to this area of the park, because it was always an area that you could get a breather and a break from the action. But with the addition, there truly is no escape…except maybe the restrooms. Additionally, we love that Knott’s is keeping the scare zone within the history of the park. If you didn’t know, there was an area of the park called The Roaring 20’s and the sign sat atop the current Bear-y Tales attraction building. So it’s extremely fitting that the scare zone is placed here.
One thing we find extremely interesting is a particular line within the description for the zone. “…Tell the Bouncer the secret password, and you’ll have the time of your life…“, does this mean there will be a real speakeasy behind the door? Probably not, simply because the space Cordy’s Corner takes up goes into that area. But, we could be wrong and Knott’s is cooking up something unique and different that we’ve not seen at the event yet. Maybe an exclusive lounge that you get the password from the scare actors in the area. Creating a VIP experience, similar to how Trapped was talked about.
Only time will tell, and we cannot wait for OUR TIME to come so we can enter the fog filled streets of Knott’s Scary Farm once again. Guaranteed to make us ugly cry from being so happy once the gates finally open again.

Knott’s Scary Farm returns on select dates September 16th – October 31st. Tickets on sale August 16th.
What about the old and new mazes, returning of Puppet Up! Uncensored, Conjured, Knott’s Spooky Farm, and of course Sarah “Green Witch Of Calico” Marshall?
