HHN HOLLYWOOD BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR WITH CREATIVE DIRECTOR JOHN MURDY

Last week, we were extremely fortunate to be some of the few people to be invited to Universal Studios Hollywood to take a Behind The Scenes tour of two haunted houses (not mazes) that are being finished for this years Halloween Horror Nights event with Creative Director John Murdy. If you’re unfamiliar with Halloween Horror Nights, it’s an annual halloween (hence the name) event thrown at Universal Studios Hollywood (and other Universal Parks around the world) where some of the most famous horror stories come to life for guests to encounter. This year, guests can experience 8 haunted houses, the Terror Tram, scare zones, a live show and exhilarating attractions at USH. It truly isn’t for the faint of heart and we love it so very much for it.

Over the past few months, fans clamored over every photo taken of HHN construction. Trying to decipher details to determine the house themes. It’s incredibly fun to visit the park and see progress being made for the event, especially the houses that are very visible from the regular areas of the park. Thankfully for us fans, USH isn’t that big so they can’t really hide much of the construction from wandering eyes. Now we are within days of HHN opening here in Hollywood and the finishing touches of the event are starting to take place and we have a front row view to it for two houses. We were lucky enough to walk through The Horrors of Blumhouse

And probably one of our most anticipated mazes at this years event, Universal Monsters: Legends Collide.

A couple things, if you DO NOT want to be spoiled before the event, we highly suggest skipping the photos and just listen to our audio tour. YES, you heard that right! We also have audio from our tour with John Murdy (Creative Director of Halloween Horror Nights) as we go through both houses. Then once you’ve experienced the event, come back and see all the incredible details that you’re bound to miss because you’re too busy screaming. The behind the scenes audio is below and you can listen and follow along with the photos below as well.

Also, make sure to check out our friends overs at Exploring Attractions because they got to tour Universal Horror Hotel and La Llorona!

Here we go, your exclusive look into two houses from this years Halloween Horror Nights and a guided tour with Creative Director John Murdy.
