Last week, we were extremely fortunate to be some of the few people to be invited to Universal Studios Hollywood to take a Behind The Scenes tour of two haunted houses (not mazes) that are being finished for this years Halloween Horror Nights event with Creative Director John Murdy.
Once upon a time in a land not so far away, there was a gathering of many many people who all had one thing in common. They were all united by their love and enthusiasm for all things spooky! Every year (barring those marred by plague) hoards of faithful followers make a pilgrimage to the realm of the Long Beach Convention Center. Here they delight in getting scared in the many houses infested with ghouls and goblins and make sure to visit all the talented tradesmen (and women) who travel from far and wide to sell their wares. What a wonderful fairy tale! Oh, wait…this is no tall tale! This may seem too good to be real… but we are, in fact, speaking of Southern California’s premiere Halloween and Horror Convention: Midsummer Scream! The Worlds LARGEST Halloween and Horror Convention.
The most immersive Halloween experience in Southern California, Knott's Scary Farm, returns with unimaginable new scares and terrifying twists for its 49th frightful year. Every inch of the park transforms into everyone’s worst nightmare as the most horrendous monsters await around every corner ready to turn you into their next victim. This year, guests will come face to face with their most horrifying fears as they brave through the park’s 17 haunted experiences, including five spine-chilling scare zones, nine monstrous mazes, and three sinister shows. Knott's Scary Farm is back for 26 terrifying nights from September 22 – October 31.
Knott’s Berry Farm and the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel are proud to announce major changes debuting in 2023. Inside the park, Fiesta Village is being refreshed to further celebrate all the Hispanic cultural influences present in Southern California. The unveiling of the new Fiesta Village includes a reimagined Montezooma’s Revenge. The historic coaster will be renamed MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress, with an immersive storyline and new surprise thrills for its riders. And next door to the park, every aspect of the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel -- from the front desk and lobby to the guest rooms and hotel restaurant -- will be transformed with brand new theming based on the theme park and its founders.
You'll be entering Jupiter’s Claim, which is set in Southern California’s Santa Clarita Valley, and is a family-fun theme park and predicated on the white-washed history and aesthetics of the California Gold Rush. Owned and operated with evangelical pride by former child star Ricky “Jupe” Park, Jupiter’s Claim becomes a pivotal location as the characters seek to investigate mysterious, unexplained phenomena, leading them toward increasing danger and terrifying consequences.
Knott's Berry Farm just announced its line up for returning mazes for the 2022 Scary Farm season. Very similar to last year, there is a well shot video announcing the mazes in a really fun and spooky way!
